Paddy Burns is a Gaelic footballer who plays at senior level for the Armagh county team.[1][2][3][4] Burns, a corner-back, was unfortunately injured for the 2023 Ulster Senior Football Championship final, in the year his uncle Jarlath, who also played for Armagh, was elected GAA President.[5] Jarlath's son Jarly Óg, a cousin of Paddy Burns, has also played for Armagh alongside Paddy Burns.[5]
The Orchard County have also produced decent midfielders and GAA presidents and current Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns, happens to be Paddy's uncle, with cousin Jarly Og also a crucial member of Kieran McGeeney's squad.
