The removal of the members marquee to the west side of the ring (right) has made available to the public the sloped northern edge from which this shot was taken.The winning livestock are being paraded out of the ring. All life is at the show and it is a bit of a bubble of feudalism in the 21st century. The toffs ride around on their horses while the peasants rifle the stands for free gifts, stuffing them into their pushchairs. |
